Does a group suit the way you travel?

Start with the daily experience. Ask about group size, meeting times, walking distances, rest breaks and how much time you can spend independently. For a solo traveller, check how room companions are allocated and whether a private room is available at an extra cost.

Clarify who leads the group, their language and when they are available. Religious guidance, airport assistance and personal care are different responsibilities. Companionship should not be presented as guaranteed nursing care, luggage protection or round-the-clock individual support.

Compare the written inclusions

Nusuk Umrah, supervised by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah, presents packages with or without visa services, as well as custom options. This is a useful reminder that the word package does not establish identical inclusions.

Ask each provider to mark these items included, excluded or awaiting confirmation:

  • Flights: airline, dates, airports, baggage, return or onward sectors and change conditions.
  • Hotels: actual names, nights in each city, room category, beds and number of people sharing. Ask about the route to the mosque, not only a distance claim.
  • Transfers: airport and intercity journeys, vehicle arrangements, waiting time and any hotel shuttle timetable.
  • Meals and guidance: meals actually provided, dietary requests, guide language and the agreed programme.

Two proposals labelled “seven nights” may differ in room sharing and transfers. Compare those details before comparing the headline total. A lower price alone does not establish better value.

Identify the responsible provider

Request the contracting company’s legal name and the Saudi provider responsible for local services. Nusuk publishes a service-provider directory and states that providers on its platform are Ministry-approved. Check the exact identity rather than relying on a familiar logo or a social-media recommendation.

Ask who handles a missed transfer, a hotel discrepancy or a change to the itinerary. Keep the written contact details and service responsibilities with your booking record.

Check requirements for your own journey

Confirm the applicable visa and permit arrangements for your passport, residence and travel dates through official Saudi channels. Nusuk says package access depends on the countries served and Ministry rules. A group booking or a package excluding visa services is not itself proof of permission to enter or perform Umrah.

Use the Saudi Ministry of Health’s Umrah health requirements, choosing the relevant travel-date guidance rather than a Hajj checklist or an old brochure. Discuss vaccination timing and personal medical needs with a qualified clinician. Ask separately about insurance, assistance and exclusions.

Keep the total and cancellation terms together

Obtain the total price, currency, taxes, supplements, payment stages and cancellation terms in writing. Ask what happens if the group does not reach its minimum size, a visa is not issued or a service changes.

Nusuk’s terms make cancellation conditions package-specific and identify separate flight-booking policies. Read the terms of the actual booking channel; do not assume that another company offers the same refund arrangements.

Adding Uzbekistan before or after Umrah

An Uzbekistan extension needs its own confirmed dates, hotels, transport and quote. Leave room for rest and international connections. Read our two-part journey checklist and Umrah + Uzbekistan planning example.

Ask about the Uzbekistan part of your journey. Share your approximate dates, group size, room preferences and language, without sending passport or payment-card details in the first message. This is an enquiry, not a confirmed Saudi package or reservation. No affiliation with Nusuk or Saudi operating authorisation is claimed.
